By accessing or using ShiftAudioFormat ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2Description of Service
ShiftAudioFormat is a browser-based audio conversion tool that allows users to convert audio files to various formats optimized for platforms like ACX/Audible, Spotify, Apple Books, and YouTube.
All audio processing occurs locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers.
No File Possession: ShiftAudioFormat never takes possession, stores, copies, or retains any of your audio files. All file processing happens entirely within your browser using WebAssembly technology. We have no access to, and do not store, any of your content at any time. You are solely responsible for your files and their backup.
3Account Terms
- You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You may not use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

- Cancel anytime
No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
5Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process content you do not have rights to
- Attempt to circumvent any usage limits or restrictions
- Use the Service in any way that could damage or impair it
- Use automated systems or software to access the Service without permission
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
6Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain all rights to your audio files. We do not claim any ownership over content you process through the Service.
Our Service: The ShiftAudioFormat name, logo, and Service are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our Service without permission.
7Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.
8Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
9Platform Compliance
While we provide presets designed to meet the requirements of platforms like ACX, Spotify, and Apple Books, we do not guarantee that converted files will be accepted by these platforms. Platform requirements may change, and acceptance is ultimately at the discretion of each platform. You are responsible for verifying that your files meet current platform requirements.
10Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.
11Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes by posting a notice on the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
12Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
